Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Seaturkey Adventures (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides guides, advice, and relocation support for people visiting or moving to Thailand. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Who we are

Seaturkey Adventures is the trading name of Robert Hoadley, a sole trader. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us at privacy@seaturkeyadventures.com.

What we collect

  • Email sign-ups (Honest Intro guide, newsletter): email address (and name where given), and which page/offer you signed up through.
  • Purchases: email address, product purchased, amount paid, and payment status. We don't see or store your card details — Stripe handles these directly.
  • Call bookings: name, email address, and any details you provide when booking via Calendly.

How we use it

  • To deliver the guide, download, or service you've requested or purchased
  • To respond to enquiries and support requests
  • To send related emails:
    • Requesting our Honest Intro guide means agreeing to receive occasional related tips and offers — made clear at sign-up (“You'll get your Honest Intro guide, plus occasional Thailand tips and offers. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.”)
    • Newsletter sign-ups via the footer include consent copy at sign-up — unsubscribe anytime
    • Purchases may lead to related follow-up offers, always with an unsubscribe link
  • To understand how people use the site so we can improve it

Legal basis

  • Contract — delivering what you've purchased
  • Consent — marketing emails from guide sign-ups and the newsletter — withdraw anytime by unsubscribing or emailing us
  • Legitimate interest — post-purchase related offers, and basic analytics/security

Who we share it with

  • Database hosting provider (EU/UK)
  • Payment processor
  • Email delivery provider
  • Website hosting provider (may briefly log visitor IPs)
  • Email mailbox provider (stores inbound emails you send us)
  • Booking platform (call scheduling)
  • Backup storage provider (encrypted database backups)
  • Analytics provider (EU-hosted, session replay with input fields masked, no cookies set)

We don't sell your data or share it for third-party advertising.

International transfers

Some processors (e.g. Stripe, Resend) may handle data outside the UK/EEA, under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep it

  • Sign-up/lead data — until you ask us to remove it
  • Order records — up to 6 years (UK tax record-keeping requirement); can't be deleted early even on request

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion (subject to the order-retention requirement above), withdrawing consent, objecting/restricting processing, and data portability. Email privacy@seaturkeyadventures.com, or complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use an analytics provider for analytics and session replay. It does not set cookies or store anything on your device. Input fields are masked in session recordings.

Children

Not directed at anyone under 18; we don't knowingly collect their data.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update this policy — material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
